Ohkay Casino Resort Hotel in San Juan Pueblo, New Mexico |
With a stunning view of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, this three-story adobe-style hotel is nestled in the beautiful Rio Grande Valley of Northern New Mexico. Midway between Taos and Santa Fe, the Ohkay Casino Resort Hotel gives visitors the opportunity to experience the hospitality, culture and art of the Rio Grande Pueblo People, some of the oldest indigenous peoples of North America.
The hotel is owned by Ohkay Owinge, formerly known as San Juan Pueblo. The Native culture, language and art of the Pueblo people is very much alive. Please check with the hotel staff to learn about appropriate cultural norms for interacting with the Pueblo people or for attending ceremonial and social events. Be advised that some community cultural events are sacred and are closed off to the public.
The 101 guestrooms are adorned with Southwestern decor and feature Native American hand-crafted furnishings. Rooms are equipped with refrigerators, coffee makers, multi-line telephones and premium cable television. The Harvest Cafe offers American and Southwestern cuisine throughout the day, while the Silver Eagle Lounge offers Drink Specials and Nightly Entertainment.
The hotel is 40 miles from the slopes of Taos Ski Valley and 20 miles from Ghost Ranch which offers a variety of outdoor adventures, educational tours and hiking trails. Golf Enthusiasts can tee off on the manicured greens of Black Mesa Golf Course, just five miles from the hotel.
